He was mostly afraid of costumes--costumed characters, mascots, etc. He didn't want anything confining, covering his face, or anything that altered his look (picky kid at 2!). This was great because we just put it on over a long-sleeved shirt because the weather was cool and left his sneakers on and he looked great. This costume was absolutely adorable, and the Amazon Marketplace transaction was perfectly smooth, but it has a few quality issues that prevent a higher score:
1) The ears tend to hang down in baby's face. This makes getting photographs of baby's face and keeping baby from getting frustrated quite difficult. If only this were the biggest problem.
2) The build quality is pretty poor. Three of the six fasteners for the legs were broken before baby went in. They were crimp style snap fasteners, and they simply could not withstand the force required to separate the snap without disassembling -- either that or they were not assembled correctly in China.
3) One of the ribbons holding one of the carrots disintegrated during wearing, probably from baby chewing / sucking. I guess it couldn't stand up to the moisture. Now there's only one carrot attached.
All in all, don't expect to get more than a few hours use out of this over one or two wearings at...Meets my expectations
This costume is adorable and it met my expectations based on all the costumes I'd worn as a kid.
The material is light, however it can easily be worn over clothing and it does cover the entire body; a plus here in the Northeast when some Halloweens are just brutally cold or windy.
The snaps are not the highest construction, however so long as you note this and take care not to rip open the snaps, they will hold fast to the fabric.
The 12-18 month fit was good on my 18 month old twins who are long and lean. The hat portion was a bit big, but can easily be pinned.
All in all I am satisfied and would recommend the costume.Bigger than you think.
It is so cute. We have not worn it yet. I am going to have to alter it. The listing says 6-12 months, but the package says 6 months to 2 years old...... that's kind of a BIG difference. It is super long, clearly made for a 2 year old, but I am going to attempt to make it work, I just wish they would say it is 6mo-2years and not false advertise the size. The mask fit his head just fine (a 6 year old's head) and he said it was comfortable to wear & trick-or-treat in.Cute mask... low quality.
The body suit is pretty plain and very thin so had to wear clothes underneath for trick-or-treat. The mask band is too large for a child-size head. Purchased as a costume for my 35 month old niece to wear for photos as a surprise present for her mother. My niece is 38" tall, with a 21" waist, and this costume -just- fits her. I took her measurements, as another listing for this product stated the limits were 39" for height and 22" for the waist. There's no room for growth, but the 2-4T is pretty accurate, as she's a 3T bottom-4T top. A second label, either on the item or on the package it comes in, lists the size as 1-2 years. This might confuse folks, but the 3T-4T seems to be correct.
The quality of the costume is exactly what I expected - halloween costume quality fabric and construction. It's not bad, but I don't expect it to hold up to much wear and tear, and my niece's eyes lit up when she saw it, which is honestly what really matters. She's very much looking forward to surprising her mummy.
Beware that the hairbow might as well be tossed in the bin as soon as you get the package. It's a piece of...My niece loves it!
Bought this for my niece's 2nd birthday and had it shipped directly to her house. In other words- I never saw it! But she loves it and it looks adorable on her! It fits her just right. I did a Horton Hears a Who Themed birthday party for my 2 year old daughter. I wanted to dress her up as an elephant. The item needed to be cute, comfortable, durable, inexpensive and reusable.
What I didn't like:
the head piece was to big. I could wear it.
it shed when it first came out of the package. I fixed this by unwrapping it several days before using. This helped alot.
It was a little big, but gives her plenty of time to grow into and wear for a long long time.
the inside material is a little rough. I put my daughter in long sleeve shirt to keep her from itching.
What I LOVED:
The costume grew on me the longer we have had it. I didn't like it at all when it first arrived, I now think its adorable.

I ordered this for my son who is 26 months. He is in the 10% percentile in height and 5% percentile on weight. I read the other reviews and thought well surely my tiny two year old will still fit in the 2-4year old costume...well I was wrong. The sleeves were too short, the legs were too short he could barely get into it and put up the hood. The sizing for this 2T-4T is more like 18-24 months and even then it would be pushing it. I have ordered the 4T-6T size hoping that it is equally off. The costume itself seems well made and is thick but thats no use if it doesn't fit.
I noticed some of the comments about the faulty sizing are several years old, Come on Seller, fix the sizing on the packaging!Runs really small
I bought the size 2T-4T for my 23-month-old and it is already a little too small for her. And she's a petite toddler to begin with (only 20 percentile for her age group). The packaging it came in said it has zipper closure, but it actually had velcro instead of zipper. I have no problem with velcro, but since the costume is already a little small for my baby, the top most velcro that is supposed to be at the neck hits her on her checks. I had to take that velcro off so that it won't scratch up her check. Order a bigger size if you have a big 2-year-old or if your kid is 3 or 4. This will NOT fit them.
Otherwise, this is a durable costume that should hold up well. It is thick too, so best used outdoors to prevent overheating of the child.Too small

My son was 8 months old and wearing 12-month clothes when he wore it for Halloween. The costume is really cute, but not very durable. The first time he wore it (for 2 hours) was fine. He got some food on it so I had to wash it. When it came out of the wash, part of the felt on the collar had ripped (although I washed on gentle cycle) and the unfinished seams in the sleeves were starting to unravel. After the third wearing, the unfinished seams in the legs were unraveling too. The crotch also started to pull at the seams, probably from my son crawling around. Also, I was never able to get the mask to go on. If you look carefully at the picture, the mask isn't actually attached. I think they faked it as there's no way you can get this on a child that can reach and grab. I debated putting the mask on him when he was sleeping, just to get a picture, but ended up not using it. So, for $15, you can get at least one wearing out of it and some nice pictures as long as you're not too...AWESOME ON MY SON
This costume is so adorable! My son is 4 months old, he looks better than the picture of the kid on the package! The mask is funky because you have to find a way to rig the string to the mask, but it is adorable!!!!! Great buy, good price for it as well! I say jump on it!Cute !

This costume is cute and my daughter looked adorable but there were two problems - the first is that the costume is like a big lint roller, EVERYTHING stuck to it and our dog has white hair so this did not look very nice. I tried to use a lint roller to clean it off and it wouldn't work, because the hair just kept sticking to it so I actually had to pull of all the hair piece by piece before we went out.
Other problem is when I washed it, it got all these fuzzy things all over it and the material almost seemed to change after being washed... I washed ir once and it looks like it has been worn and washed a million times, I hate stuff that does that. good thing we only needed it for one night.
The costume is cute, but I wouldn't buy another from the same company. I think next year I'll go to the Disney store I've heard good things about there and Target having cute costumes.wonderful costume for baby

I was very pleased with how fast I recieved the package, but upon opening I found that the costume looked way too big. I bought the 1-6 mo old size for my 8 mo old son. It looks more like a 2T. I purchased this kitty costume for my five-year-old to wear today for Halloween. When we took it out of the package, the maribou was already coming off the neckline, so I glued it back on using fabric glue. She wore the costume to pre-school this morning, and when I went to see her in their Halloween parade a couple of hours later, the maribou on the arms, legs and neckline was hanging by one thread, literally. Her teacher had tried to staple the maribou back on for the parade, but there was just too much maribou to staple. Only the tail remained intact. My little girl is not rambunctious, and they had not gone outside to play; the costume was just very poorly made. I am so disappointed with this costume. my goodness the quality of this is poor. we ordered 2 sizes up so my daughter could *potentially* wear it for a couple years but it's ripped at multiple seams after wearing only twice. YES seams, as in plural, as in at least 5 different seams! no joke, and i would classify it as fairly light play she was engaged in both times. she has most of the princess costumes and they've lasted fairly long with only a ripped seam here or there every once in a while so i was unpleasantly surprised with this one. it's a good thing i have a sewing machine and was able to re-stitch all the seams but i don't have high hopes for it lasting long. hopefully it will keep until at least halloween....Bummer

My son is 3 months old and 13.5 lbs, 21 inches long. He wore this as his Halloween costume and it fit him perfectly. He seemed very comfortable in it bc it made him feel like he was in his sleep sack. I could definitely see this being worn by an older baby as well, probably up to 6 months or so (maybe longer if you have a smaller baby).
It is also easy to put on, just slips on and Velcros close. The material is soft but we still put a onesie on the baby underneath it, to ensure he stayed warm. The hat fit his head well but he didn't like wearing it so it didn't stay on long.

I bought this costume for my son's very first halloween, he was 3 months so I wanted to get somthing that I knew would be comfortable and adorable as well. When I recieved the costume I tried it on him and it was horrible. It was extremly tight in the crotch area and the buttons wouldnt even snapp together, and it was to short in the arms, and way to long in the legs. It seemed like whoever made had no clue what they were doing, it was very unportioned. I ordered this costume for my twin boys who recently turned 5 months old. One of my twins weigh almost 16 lbs while the other weighs around 14 1/2. This costume is made really, really small!!! In the description it states for 0-9 months so I thought it would be made on the middle to big size. I was wrong. On the packaging it says, "Newborn 0-9 months" It DID NOT state "Newborn" in the description and if it did I would have NEVER ordered the size I did.
The costume is really cute, but I was suprised that the hat came seperate from the costume. From looking at the pictures, I though it was attached to the costume.
I don't think my twins would be able to wear this costume for any length of time due to it being so small. Luckily they are only wearing it for halloween pictures and to not go trick or treating.
I received the costumes rather quickly and that was nice.

Do not buy costumes from this company. I had ordered a crocodile costume as a birthday present for a toddler and the item I had received looked NOTHING like the item that was pictured. It looked more like the fairytale dragon but without the spines on the head and tail. This will be going back in the mail tomorrow morning!

That's the sizing for this item. My son's going to be 13 months old soon and we thought we can pull this off. It was a tight fit, but it did the job. The buttons are of very low quality. They don't snap on that securely...especially in the diaper and legs area. But that could have easily have been due to the size being too small on him. I really wanted this particular costume and knew that it would run a tad short, so I shouldn't have been surprised.
As I stated in the title. I wish they had more sizes to choose from.Way too cute once you see the tail!
