Bought this costume for my 12 month old son and it was perfect!! Everyone knew what he was! The only thing was the fur tended to "shed" and I had fur everywhere. In the car, car seat, stroller, on me and my daughter, in my son's mouth. It got everywhere. Very worth it though. It was so cute.
Costume Works Well
The costume worked well. Item was not as it is pictured though. The fur pieces did shed and were not as wide, long, or as abundant as pictured. The fur pieces were sewn matted into the seams at the shoulders. We remedied this by tugging some of the fur loose at the top. The bottom of the costume did open up for diaper changing and was otherwise constructed well enough for a costume, but not as good as everyday clothing. Item was warm enough for cool weather, but would not be warm enough for very cold weather. The costume fit well, *(we ordered a 0-6 month size for our 4 month old), but the hat might be too snug if he was any older. I would recommend going one size up if your child is closer to the 5-6 month age. For the price though we couldn't get a better Chewbacca, and our baby was adorable.
Not ideal for Texas Halloween
I guess we got what we expected. The material of the costume is sort of cheap and scratchy, but that didn't seem to bother our little one. It was way too hot for baby to wear on Halloween in Texas when it's only 60 degrees outside. Personally, I would prefer to just make his costumes from now on since I prefer not to dress him in synthetic fabrics. However, it did serve it's purpose and was pretty darn cute!
