I bought this for Halloween (2008) for my 2 year old. I chose it because it was the cheapest pirate costume I could find and I wasn't sure my son would really be into Halloween. It is very cheaply made and I would not say it is durable but if you are buying for a one time wear, I would buy it again. The only suggestion I have is to buy a bigger size than you think because my son is small for his age (he was still wearing 18 mos at the time) and I bought the 1-2T and it was very snug. Don't expect much but you aren't paying much.
Beware of sizing
Cute costume, quality was what I expected for the price. However, my disappointment was that I assumed since the product is called Pint Sized Pirate Costume Boy Toddler 1-2T, the size would be between 1-2T. On the contrary, the size is actually 2-4T. It was way too big.
Pirate Costume - does not come with Pirate Hat
My son is 3 and loves this costume! I got him the 3T-4T and it is pretty big on him, and he's a good size 3 year old. Yes, it is cheap, that's why we bought it! But he loves it and has worn it everyday since we got it. I hope it holds up until Halloween! The only thing is that it does not come with the pirate hat. I guess I assumed it would because it is on the little boy in the photo. I was disappointed about that because I think it is what makes the costume! So I guess we will be ordering one. But all in all we're pleased with it for a Halloween costume.
