This costume is really cute! We bought it for our 3 year old, and he looked adorable! We weren't overly concerned with quality, as it was intended for use for just a day (on our holiday), so we weren't surprised when the buttons came off by the end of the long day. (He is full of energy!) Should we decide to use it again sometime in the future, that should be pretty easy to fix up.
The fit was disappointing. He is an average-sized 3 year-old, and it was a bit too small, and since the feet are enclosed, it pulled at his shoulders. Since he was going to wear shoes anyway, we cut slits in the bottom of the feet to fit over his shoes, which helped a little. Again, we knew this was just for a day, so it didn't overly concern us.
The velcro on the hat might get in your child's way, and we found that simply tucking the velcro inside the hat (and then putting it on) was sufficient, and the hat stayed on well enough without being strapped. A child of this age may be...
